Human Rights Policy

At Profoto Digital Services Pte Ltd (Profoto®), we recognize the critical importance of respecting human rights across all aspects of our operations. We are committed to integrating responsible business practices that safeguard human rights, promote dignity, and foster fairness and equality. We aim to create an inclusive, safe, and respectful environment for our employees, customers, suppliers, and partners.

Scope of the Policy

This Human Rights Policy applies to all employees, contractors, business partners, suppliers, and affiliates of Profoto® both in Singapore and globally. It is designed to comply with the Singapore Employment Act, Workplace Safety and Health Act, Employment of Foreign Manpower Act, TAFEP Fair Employment Guidelines, and international standards, including the United Nations Global Compact, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, as well as the SEDEX and EcoVadis sustainability standards. This policy is integrated with our Supplier Code of Conduct and Employee Code of Conduct, which guide our internal and external relationships by promoting respect, fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Our Commitment
Respecting Human Rights

Profoto® is committed to creating a workplace where all individuals—employees, suppliers, and customers—are treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. We strictly prohibit any form of discrimination, forced or child labor, harassment, or abuse. In alignment with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act and other local laws, we maintain safe, healthy, and respectful working conditions for all employees, ensuring a work environment free from exploitation.

Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination

Profoto® is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, or other protected characteristics. We are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and fair workplace, fully aligned with TAFEP’s Fair Employment Guidelines. This commitment extends to our suppliers and partners, ensuring they also treat their employees with fairness, respect, and dignity and adhere to non-discrimination practices.

Responsible Sourcing and Ethical Supply Chain

We recognize the importance of maintaining an ethical and responsible supply chain. We expect our suppliers to uphold human rights principles similar to ours, ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and the ethical treatment of workers. To verify compliance, we conduct regular social audits and risk assessments in line with SEDEX and EcoVadis standards, ensuring that our partners maintain human rights practices consistent with our own.

Empowering Workers at the Workplace

Profoto® is committed to empowering workers by actively listening, learning, and evolving in partnership with our employees. We recognize that every worker has the right to a safe and healthy workplace and support their right to refuse unsafe work without fear of disciplinary action. Our goal is to create an environment where all workers feel empowered to prioritize their safety, health, and well-being, with unwavering support from management.

Empowering Women and Supporting Vulnerable Groups

We prioritize empowering women and protecting vulnerable groups, including individuals with disabilities and minority ethnic backgrounds. We support women’s participation and leadership in the workplace and strive to eliminate barriers to equal opportunities. We ensure that all workers, particularly those from marginalized or vulnerable groups, have access to fair opportunities and support.

Addressing Human Rights Impacts

We proactively conduct human rights due diligence and risk assessments to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential human rights impacts within our operations and across our supply chain. This includes addressing regions with heightened risks of human rights abuses, ensuring that our suppliers and partners uphold the same standards of respect for human rights.

Effective Remedy and Grievance Mechanism

We provide clear, confidential grievance mechanisms for reporting human rights violations. Retaliation against any individual who raises concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited. We expect suppliers and partners to have similar grievance mechanisms for their employees, ensuring that workers have access to effective channels for reporting violations.

Safe and Healthy Work Environment

Profoto® is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, fully complying with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and other relevant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. Employees are never required to surrender personal documents or pay deposits to secure employment, and they are free to leave employment after providing reasonable notice.

Governance and Oversight

Our Sustainability Committee, reporting directly to the Board of Directors, oversees the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our human rights policy and sustainability efforts. We regularly review and update this policy to ensure continued compliance with both local and international best practices, including SEDEX and EcoVadis standards.

Conclusion

At Profoto®, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of respect, equality, and responsibility in all our operations. We are committed to ensuring that human rights are respected and upheld throughout our business activities. We will continue to treat all individuals with dignity, fairness, and respect, whether they are our employees, customers, or business partners.
