Since December 2021, we have fully phased out our Lambda laser printer. Our current fleet of printers – the Efi Vutek and Epson inks are fully Greenguard Gold certified.
We have since appointed an internal team to focus on our green initiatives, and have thus expanded our pool of PVC-free and FSC certified substrates, and are now at 10 print materials and counting.
To ensure the longevity of our journey in Sustainability, Profoto also engages in external environmental-related assessment, such as the Eco-Vadis, and hold ourselves to achieving an overall score of Silver or gold.
As a Production house, waste disposal and the treatment of end of the line props are key processes in our business model.
We are constantly refining our waste disposal methods, engaging licensed general waste disposal companies and
recycling service providers to manage our waste and sort out the recyclables.
This processes not only ensures that our scrap substrates and props are adequately treated by minimizing waste and recycling, it also helps us cut back on what would be accumulated labour hours and the in-house power supply needed to sort, destroy and discard these.
